Finally, 2016 is coming to an end.
This time of year always get me thinking about my life, what I have achieved, what is to become in the future etc.
I think about a lot of people, the ones I let down, the ones I surprised positively, who I left a good and positive mark and the ones I didn’t. The hearts I have broken, the ones I mended. I’m sorry.
2016 will be remenbered as I bad year indeed. Not only because internet memes, Bowie, Prince, George Michael, Trump, Syria… CarWash operation and impeachement here in Brazil, unemployment skyrocketing etc, etc, etc.
The thing is that every year is a challenge and a learning. While we stumble along as human beings, we are improving… or at least I like to think so.
Hard times are opportunities afterall.
Being optimistic is not getting a Dolores (WestWorld) vibe to choose only to see the beauty in this world. Being reasonable optimistic is facing the bad and uglyness inside of us and trying everyday to conquer those vices.
I like to think odd number year are good for me, even thought I was born on 1988.
So, next year things will be better, but first things might get tuffer.
Either way. Let’s be happy tonigh and look back with warm heart and gratefullness about the people I met this year. New and old friends that I had only seeing once or twice and even so, taught me a great deal.
Thank you 2016. Let 2017 come!
